The USS Midway’s Senior Enlisted sailors were experienced Navy leaders who played a vital role in the daily operation, discipline, and readiness of the ship and its thousands of crew members. Chief Petty Officers and other senior enlisted personnel served as the important link between the officers who directed the ship’s mission and the sailors responsible for carrying it out, bringing years of technical knowledge and practical experience to nearly every department aboard the carrier.
